ENGINEERING NOTES

Define the duty before selecting equipment.

The following establishes a technical discussion framework. Final performance, scope, certification and acceptance criteria are defined in the agreed technical specification.

01

Applications and risk

Oil and gas duties may involve flammable media, outdoor exposure, relocation and remote sites. Oxygen target, purge volume, duration, pressure, environment and hazardous-area requirements belong on one duty sheet.

ENGINEERING SCHEMATIC

The schematic clarifies the gas path and scope boundaries; final instruments, interlocks and layout follow the project specification.

02

Package scope

A package can combine air compression, membrane or PSA generation, boosting, storage, analysis, telemetry, diesel or electric drive, container and mobile platform. Each project is reviewed against owner and local requirements.

03

Related projects

Kazakhstan oilfield and Chad mobile projects demonstrate fixed engineered and vehicle-mounted deployment paths. Their project pages contain archive data and delivery workflows.

04

Calculate from the operation, not a model number

Pipeline purging, tank inerting, pressure support and continuous blanketing have different demand profiles. Define volume, initial and target oxygen, purge method, duration, back pressure and permitted vent location for each operation.

05

Hazardous area and remote operation

Equipment must match zone, gas group, temperature class, ingress protection and owner electrical rules. Remote projects also define unattended philosophy, telemetry, alarm escalation, fuel or power security and critical spares.

06

Fixed, skid, container or vehicle mounted

Deployment format depends on relocation frequency, foundations, transport route, lifting, climate, hazardous area and installation window. Rapid deployment shifts work into the factory; it does not remove engineering review.

EQUIPMENT & DELIVERY

Leave room to maintain the package

A container combines equipment and interfaces in an engineered package. Check heat rejection, ventilation, drainage, noise, maintenance and electrical isolation. Transport dimensions and lifting arrangements require a separate review; this concept has no assumed dimensions.

EQUIPMENT & DELIVERY

Delivery starts before the package leaves the factory

Confirm the equipment list, preservation, lifting points, centre of gravity and transport limits before dispatch. The site prepares foundations, power, earthing, gas and drainage interfaces. Written responsibilities reduce rework. This image illustrates preparation, not a case shipment.

PAGE FAQ

Answer the critical questions before sizing.

Membrane or PSA for oil and gas?

Membrane often fits compact, mobile and moderate-purity duties; PSA often fits higher purity. Compare the complete duty.

Can the package be diesel driven?

It can be configured, subject to fuel, emissions, ventilation, fire, noise and maintenance review.

How is purge peak flow defined?

From volume, purge exchanges, target duration, pressure, back pressure, method and engineering margin.
